Video of: Demshitz in upstate New York

As the rain pounded in upstate New York Nicole and myself  started driving north.  Our first stop was the Inner City Strife wave where we met up with Jeremy Laucks, Bryan Hartman, and a few other of demshitz.  After a few days of non stop surfing myself, and Jeremy met up with Matt Young and several others for a run down sections 3 and 4 of the Oswegatchie.  This was a Moose like river but on a bigger scale.  I believe Jeremy called this style of river “lake and huck”.  This sick week of kayaking lead us  into the always entertaining Moose Fest.  Yes…… there was rain and snow.  Here is a video of the Inner City wave and some creeking on the “lake and huck” Oswegatchie.    VIDEO HERE

Hi everybody !

I just want to share some pictures and my impressions of the Pyranha Varun.

I had the chance to try it on a sunny and warm October day in Germany. The boat size M is realy comfortable for me with 179cm. I could sit the whole day in it without any hurts. I think it´s a perfect river runner for easy whitewater. You could surf small waves and do perfect cartwheels in the hole. The varun is very loose and fast and it carves like hell.

I could really recommend the boat for people who would like to have playboat for the whole river !!

As we all know, creating a top kayaking movie is a painstaking process. Part of this process is the long and laborious task for composing and performing music to fit the quick cut scenes of a fast-pace extreme sports film.

In the first episode of ‘The making of Mop2’, Ben Greaves from Hurricane Sunday is laying down another one of hie brilliant tracks.

New York At It’s Best

This weekend we saw Northern New York Boating at its absolute best.  Between Inner City Strife Wave being at a perfect level, and other area runs coming in we couldn’t ask for anything more.  Top it off with beautiful fall foliage, and blue skies, and you have sheer perfection.

Day at Scudders with Demshitz Nation

I decided to go to scudders falls which is the closest playspot to my house and see if the hole was still okay even after the rain. The level was almost too high for the main wave and staying in the feature was tricky. Despite the level it turned out to be a sweet day having the hole all to myself  most of the time. 3rd place at Sickline Extreme Championships

Last Saturday I was able to reach the 3rd rank behind Sam Sutton/NZL and Michele Ramazza/ITA in the 2010 edition of the adidas Sickline Extreme Worldchampionships in the Oetz Valley/Austria, which I’m absolutely happy about.

150 competitors from all over the world absolved a tight qualification race first to determine the 48 kayakers who were to fight for the places on the podium on the infamous Wellerbruecke course. Due to the really well organized event, good weather conditions, constant water levels throughout the race days and the incredible media coverage, it was great fun to race in the “super final” with all the strong paddlers.

Moldau River !! Czeck Republic

Every Year on the last weekend of August, the big Dam of lipno opens the gates for the Slalom-competitions. The good thing is that there is also Water on the Whitewater-section below, which is totally dry normally. So half of all paddlers from middle Europe join this exciting event nearly every year 🙂 !!
