March was BUSY here with the boys at Pyranha US. Ive had the pleasure of traveling with the crew to shows and demos this month. Read on to see pictures and details of this months madness.
My 1st event for the month was at West Virginia University for a pool session. The Ammo and Recoil were big hits. Â
Water in Fayetteville WV was plenty in the first few weeks of March. Here are some shots from Real Manns creek and some from the New River Dries.

Madison Wisconsin was the next destination. Traveling with Jim and Dinver to Rutabaga’s Annual “Canoecopia” show. Greeted there by fellow Pyranha ambassadors Kelly Blades, Ben Lawry, John Kiffmeyer and the Great Graham Mackereth. Saturday night we put on our own show at the High Noon Saloon in downtown Madison when we showed up dressed as Western Bandits. No one else was aware of our plans for a costume party…which sparked some confused looks on the faces of pretty much everyone.
Thanks to Gary Hostetler for some of the photos!
Back to Asheville for two weeks before the next show in New Jersey at the Jersey Paddler show. I got to run the Green about 15 times in that 2 week break and was blessed with my first 200%. Also, a high water run on the Ravens Fork(19 inches), highlighted the month.Â

This picture gives you an idea of the gradient on the Ravens Fork. Big boy to the left(not pictured) followed by super atomic elbow collider, mike tysons punch out, hargesses rapid, caveman, and the mangler!Â
Getting some mud on the tires on the way to the put-in.  Â

Since then Ive been hanging out in Asheville saving up for another month of traveling and kayaking. Dave Fusilli rolls into town in the next week and the two of us will be driving around the team van for the summer.  Our first stop is at Ace Adventure in Fayetteville WV on the 27th of April followed by a trip to White Water Warehouse in Dayton Ohio on May 2nd, then Cheat Fest in West Virginia on the 4th-6th of May. Reno Nevada is our first stop out west for the Reno River Festival on the Truckee river in downtown Reno. After that we drive to Colorado for the Paddling Life Invitational in Steamboat Springs, then Teva Mountain Games and a few other events in the month of June. Check back for updates of our tour in the weeks to come.
